I came to Great Basin College in 1996 and established the Great Basin College Theatre Program. Since that time, students and audiences have enjoyed nearly 100 productions on the 澳门新甫京娱乐游戏在线下载 stage.
Each year, the 澳门新甫京娱乐游戏在线下载 Theatre Program produces two main-stage and two studio productions. A typical production will include 20 to 30 students and will be attended by nearly 1000 audience members. In addition to performance opportunities, students engage in creating the technical support for each production, building sets and designing lights, sound, costumes and make-up.
澳门新甫京娱乐游戏在线下载 Theatre Program guarantees performance opportunities to every single interested student. Each year a tightly knit ensemble company is created. Students work together closely, making strong friendships providing support for the work we do together in the theatre, support for college studies and support in life outside of college and the theatre. It is a very rewarding experience for everyone.
澳门新甫京娱乐游戏在线下载 Theatre is a member of the Theatre Communications Guild, a national consortium of educational theatres. It also one of the founding organizations of the Elko Theatre Coalition, a collaborative group of theatre artists from throughout the region.
